Berg Hatten

The best known landscape formation in the municipality is the mountain Hatten ( German  hat ). In the Sami language, the mountain is called Aarpije (German "widower") because it stands relatively alone. Copper was mined at the Hatten around 1875.

Not far from the summit are the remains of a forge in which the copper was processed. The hike to the mountain top takes about two hours.
