Henri Serre

Henri Serre (born February 26, 1931 in Sète ) is a French actor.

Henri Serre worked as an actor as early as the 1950s, but initially almost exclusively in the theater. By far his best-known role he played in 1962 as Jim in François Truffaut's love drama Jules and Jim , for him it was his third feature film. In the same year, the dark-haired actor also starred alongside Romy Schneider in The Battle of the Island . After Jules and Jim , Serre followed a career with more than 60 film and television appearances until the mid-1990s, but he never made it to become an established film star. His other well-known films include Louis Male's drama Das Irrlicht (1963)Maurice Ronet in the lead role and the comedy Fantomas Threaten the World (1967) with Louis de Funès and Jean Marais . He has also appeared in numerous television films and series. Primarily, however, Serre was mainly active as a stage actor.
