In two years, Sarah Day becomes the first psychiatrist Mr. Frost speaks to. He claims to be the devil who wants to restore the balance between good and bad. Mr. Frost asks the psychiatrist to kill him. As a result, numerous murders occur in the vicinity of the people who have to do with Mr. Frost. The head of the clinic tries to jump off the roof. Frost appears to Sarah as a hallucination sitting in the back seat of her car. She discusses with her older friend whether Frost is actually the devil. Reviews

Hal Hinson wrote in the Washington Post of November 12, 1990, the film was a " very, very poor " ( " very, very bad ") film. It works “ in no way ” and is “ nonsense ” from start to finish . He expressly praised Goldblum for having given Lucifer “ this special charismatic idiosyncrasy ”.

Movie service wrote that the "shallow film" imagine "Satan faith and science" over, series "platitudes" to each other and dilutes "its last Thrill" . Only Jeff Goldblum achieved "some intensity with his portrayal" .

The magazine prisma described the film as "a disturbing psychological thriller with a first-class ensemble" . The plot is “a traditional mixture of horror and fantasy film” , but the film foregoes “the glitz of so-called Gothic horror” , “represents reality in concrete terms” and moves “on the borderline between reason and madness, what reinforced by the enigmatic appearance of Jeff Goldblum ”.

Cinema magazine sees the film as proof of how "little good a crew of actors" is, "if the story is too thin and the dramaturgy is screwed up" .

Awards

Jeff Goldblum won the Catalonian International Film Festival , the international film festival for fantasy film , in the Best Actor category .
