Henrik Rabien
Henrik Rabien (born July 22, 1971 in Berlin ) is a German bassoonist .
Rabien passed his Abitur in 1989 at the Stormarn School in Ahrensburg and studied at the University of Music and Theater in Munich . As a guest musician he played with the Bavarian State Orchestra and the Symphony Orchestra of the Bavarian Radio . He had permanent positions as solo bassoonist, first with the Gürzenich Orchestra from 1996 , and then with the WDR Symphony Orchestra Cologne since 1998 .
Since the 2003/2004 winter semester, Rabien has been teaching as professor for bassoon at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts .
