Henry Dwnn († 1469)

Henry Dwnn (also Harry Dwnn ) († July 26, 1469 near Banbury ) was a Welsh nobleman and military man.

Dwnn came from the ancient Welsh Dwnn family . He was the only son of Owain Dwnn and Catherine Wogan . He inherited the Muddlescombe estate at Kidwelly from his father and Picton Castle in Pembrokeshire from his mother . He married a daughter of Roger Vaughan von Tretower . He supported the House of York during the Wars of the Roses and died in the Battle of Edgecote Moor in July 1469 . His property was divided between his daughters after his death: Joan, who married Thomas ap Philip from Cilsant , became the ancestral mother of the Philipps family, who still live at Picton Castle today. His second daughter Jenet inherited Muddlescombe, she married Trahaern Morgan .
