Henry Morgan Dockrell

Henry Morgan Dockrell (* 1880 in Dublin , † October 26, 1955 ) was an Irish businessman and politician .

Dockrell was born in Dublin in 1880 to Maurice Dockrell . Like his father, he was also politically active. In 1932 he was elected to the 7th Dáil Éireann for Cumann na nGaedheal . Over the years Dockrell was re-elected five times and was a member of the Dáil Éireann until 1948. From September 1933 he sat for the Fine Gael , in which the Cumann na nGaedheal had merged, in the lower house. In the 1948 elections for the 12th Dáil, Dockrell was unable to defend his seat. Instead, he was elected to the Seanad Éireann , which he belonged to until 1951.

His sons Maurice and Percy Dockrell later also sat in the House of Commons for the Fine Gael.
