Career

Thillberg played for Malmö FF in the Allsvenskan from 1951 to 1962 and was champion and cup winner in his first year . Two years later he managed the double with the club, whereupon he received an offer from FC Bologna to become a professional in Serie A. Thillberg refused, however, and played for Malmö until 1961.
