Henry Van Thio , Burmese : ဟင်နရီ ဗန် ထီး ယူ, (born August 9, 1958 ) is a Myanmar politician and elected Vice President of Myanmar.

He belongs to the Tibetan-Burmese ethnic group of the Chin and is their representative in the House of Nationalities , the upper house of the Assembly of the Union , the bicameral parliament of Burma ( Myanmar ).

Henry Van Thio was nominated for election as deputy head of state by the National League for Democracy . He was elected Second Vice President of the new head of state Htin Kyaw on March 16, 2016 .

Henry Van Thio studied at the Universities of Mandalay and Rangoon . He is a Christian and is married to Shwe Lwan and has three children.
