Geville is a French commune with 620 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meuse department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). The municipality is located in the canton of Commercy in the Arrondissement of Commercy . The inhabitants are called Gevillois .
geography
Geville is about 37 kilometers west-northwest of downtown Nancy . The Lorraine Regional Nature Park extends into the municipality. The rivers Esch and Rupt de Mad have their source in the municipality . Geville is surrounded by the neighboring communities Broussey-Raulecourt in the north and northeast, Mandres-aux-Quatre-Tours in the northeast, Royaumeix in the east and northeast, Boucq in the east, Euville in the south, Vignot in the west and Frémeréville-sous-les-Côtes in the Northwest.
