Loupmont is a French commune with 75 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meuse department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement Commercy and the canton of Saint-Mihiel . The inhabitants are called Loupmontois .

geography

Loupmont is about 40 kilometers south-southeast of Verdun . The municipality is part of the Lorraine Regional Nature Park . Loupmont is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Varnéville in the north and north-west, Buxières-sous-les-Côtes in the north and north-east, Montsec in the north-east, Xivray-et-Marvoisin in the east, Bouconville-sur-Madt in the south and south-east and Apremont-la- Forêt to the west and south-west.
