Saint-Joire is a French commune with 239 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meuse department in the Grand Est region (before 2016 Lorraine ). It belongs to the Arrondissement Commercy , the canton Ligny-en-Barrois (until 2015 Gondrecourt-le-Château ) and the municipality of Portes de Meuse . The inhabitants are called Saint-Georgia .
geography
The municipality is crossed by the Ornain river. Saint-Joire is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Tréveray in the north, Reffroy in the northeast, Demange-aux-Eaux in the east, Houdelaincourt in the south and southeast, Bonnet in the south, Ribeaucourt in the southwest and Biencourt-sur-Orge in the west and southwest.
