Fresnes-au-Mont is a French commune in the Meuse department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the Arrondissement Commercy and the canton Dieue-sur-Meuse (until 2015: canton Pierrefitte-sur-Aire ). The community has 171 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017).

Fresnes-au-Mont is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Lahaymeix in the north, Dompcevrin in the north-east, Les Paroches and Chauvoncourt in the east, Kœur-la-Grande in the south and south-east, Rupt-devant-Saint-Mihiel in the west and south-west, Nicey-sur -Aire to the west and Pierrefitte-sur-Aire to the west and northwest.
