Apremont-la-Forêt is a French commune with 397 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meuse department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Commercy and the canton of Saint-Mihiel .
The municipality of Apremont-la-Forêt was formed in 1972 from the places Apremont, Liouville, Saint-Agnant and Marbotte.

The forest of Apremont was a hotly contested theater of war during the First World War, especially during the 1st Woëvre Battle, the so-called Easter Battle , in April 1915.
