Gobert VI. from Apremont

Gobert VI. the lucky one (French: Gobert le Bienheureux ; * around 1187; † August 20, 1263 in Villers-la-Ville ) was a lord of Apremont-la-Forêt from the Apremont house . He was a son of Gottfried I of Apremont († 1222) and Isabella, a daughter of Wilhelm I of Dampierre .

He was married to Juliane, Dame von Chaumont-Porcien , daughter of Gottfried II von Rosoy , from around 1221 . Your children were:

Gobert VI. took part in the Albigensian Crusade and accompanied Emperor Friedrich II on his crusade (1228–1229, fifth crusade) to the holy land . In 1238 he retired as a Cistercian monk to the Abbey of Villers in Brabant , where he lived a long life as a hermit. Since then he has been venerated as a saint.

The municipality of Saint-Gobert in the Aisne department in Picardy is named after him.
