geography

Valbois is located about 29 kilometers south-southeast of Verdun . The municipality is part of the Lorraine Regional Nature Park . Valbois is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Lamorville in the north and west, Chaillon in the north and north-east, Buxières-sous-les-Côtes in the east and south-east and Saint-Mihiel in the south and west.

history

In 1973 Valbois emerged from the previously independent communities of Varvinay , Savonnières-en-Woëvre and Senonville .
