Angelika Matt-Heidecker

Angelika Matt-Heidecker (born September 4, 1953 in Grötzingen ) is a German lawyer and politician ( SPD ). She was Lord Mayor of the City of Kirchheim unter Teck from 2004 to 2020 .

Life

Angelika Matt-Heidecker graduated from high school in Kirchheim unter Teck and then studied politics and law in Tübingen . After completing her studies, she worked for the Chamber of Tax Advisors in Stuttgart as a specialist in professional law, after which she worked as an independent lawyer in Kirchheim unter Teck and Stuttgart.

As part of the SPD parliamentary group, she was a member of the Kirchheim municipal council for 14 years , including several years as parliamentary group leader.

From 2004 Angelika Matt-Heidecker was Lord Mayor of the city of Kirchheim unter Teck. Furthermore, she has been an elected member of the regional assembly since the Association Region Stuttgart was founded in 1994 .

Matt-Heidecker was a member of the 12th Federal Assembly in 2004 and the 13th Federal Assembly in 2009 .

Her current term of office as mayor ended on February 29, 2020. In the election on December 1, 2019, Angelika Matt-Heidecker lost 28.8% of the vote to her non-party challenger Pascal Bader , who received 70.8% of the votes.
