The Gmina Niemodlin is an urban-and-rural municipality in the powiat Opolski of the Opole Voivodeship in Poland . Its seat is the city of the same name ( German Falkenberg OS ) with about 6500 inhabitants.
geography
The municipality is located 15 kilometers west of the district and voivodeship capital Opole (Opole) . The waters include the Nysa Kłodzka (Glatzer Neisse) in the west and its tributary Ścinawa Niemodlińska (Steinau) .
history
The municipality came to the Opole Voivodeship in 1950, which changed its layout several times until 1999. In 1999 the municipality came to the newly created powiat Opolski (powiat Oppeln) .

The municipality is located on the national road DK46 , which connects the Lower Silesian Voivodeship in the west via Opole with the Silesian Voivodeship in the east.
The Niemodlin was on the Szydłów – Lipowa Śląska railway line , and passenger traffic between Gracze and Szydłów was discontinued in 1996.
