The municipality Comprachtschütz ( Polish: Gmina Komprachcice ) is a rural municipality in the powiat Opole of the Opole Voivodeship in Poland . Its seat is the place Comprachtschütz (Komprachcice) with about 2700 inhabitants.
The community has been officially bilingual (Polish and German) since 2009.
geography
The municipality borders in the northeast on the district and voivodeship capital Opole (Opole) . The Chróścinka brook belongs to the waters .
history
After the referendum in Upper Silesia in March 1921, the entire Opole district with the village remained with Germany. In 1945 Comprachtschütz (renamed Gumpertsdorf in 1936) became part of Poland as Komprachcice .
According to the statistics of the 2002 census , 56.0% of the community population are Poles , 31.3% belong to the German minority , another 7.5% described themselves as Silesians and 5.2% gave no information about their nationality. On June 4, 2009, German was introduced as the second official language in the municipality, and on December 1, 2009, bilingual place names were introduced.

Community leader
The head of the municipal administration is the municipality leader. This is Leonard Pietruszka. In the regular election in October 2018, he was re-elected with 93.4% of the vote without an opponent.
Municipal council
The municipal council consists of 15 members and is directly elected. The 2018 municipal council election led to the following result:
- Election Committee Leonard Pietruska 8 seats
- German minority election committee 7 seats
In 14 of the 15 single-person constituencies, the council members were elected without opposing candidates. Only in constituency 6 did a second candidate run against the candidate from the German minority, but could not prevail.
Community partnerships
In 1997 a partnership agreement was signed between Comprachtschütz and the German municipality of Hasbergen .

The places Chmiellowitz ( Chmielowice ) and Zirkowitz ( Żerkowice ) were incorporated into the city of Opole on January 1, 2017 and left the municipality of Comprachtschütz.
traffic
The Droga wojewódzka 429 road runs through the village in a south-west direction . The Opole – Nysa railway runs in the south .
