Ochodze (Pol. Ochodze , Silesian Uochodze , 1936-1945 Fruehauf ) is a town in Poland in the community Komprachcice . She belongs to the Powiat Opolski in Upper Silesia in the Opole Voivodeship .

Geographical location
Ochotz is located two kilometers south of Comprachtschütz and ten kilometers southwest of the district and voivodeship capital Opole .
The Droga wojewódzka 429 road and the A4 motorway south of Ochotz run through the village . The Moszczana stream flows through the village . A vast forest area extends to the south and west.

history
The place is first mentioned in 1295 as Ochodze . In 1532 it was mentioned as Ochoze . The Slavic place name Ochoc means something like Schmausort or Luftort .
In 1845 there was a pitch furnace, a Vorwerk and another 44 houses in the village. In the same year, 372 people lived in Ochotz, 17 of them Protestants. In 1874 the district of Dometzko was founded, to which Ochotz was incorporated.
In the referendum in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921, 338 eligible voters voted to remain with Germany and 121 for Poland. Ochotz remained with the German Empire. In 1933 there were 957 inhabitants. On May 19, 1936, the place was renamed Frühauf . In 1939 the place had 1,066 inhabitants. In 1941 the scrap wood church was moved from Gumpertsdorf to Frühauf. Until 1945 the place was in the district of Opole .
In 1945 the previously German place came under Polish administration and was renamed Ochodze and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950 the place came to the Opole Voivodeship . In 1999 the place came to the re-established Powiat Opolski . On June 4, 2009 , German was introduced as the second official language in the municipality of Comprachtschütz , which Ochotz belongs to, and on December 1, 2009 the place was also given the official German place name Ochotz .
