Naives-en-Blois is a French commune with 151 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meuse department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Champagne-Ardenne ). The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement Commercy and to the municipality association Commercy-Void-Vaucouleurss founded in 2016 .

geography

The municipality of Naives-en-Blois is located on the eastern edge of the Barrois landscape , about 25 kilometers west of Toul and 45 kilometers east of Saint-Dizier . The municipal area of ​​15.7 km² is dominated by a large forest ( Bois de Voirut ) in the northeast and by large arable land in the western part. In the southwest, the 383 m high Navernemont is the highest point in the municipality. Not far from this elevation rises the Barboure , a tributary of the Ornain . The municipality includes the hamlet of Bannaucourt and the village of Braux (incorporated in 1794). Naives-en-Blois is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Ménil-la-Horgne in the north, Void-Vacon in the east, Sauvoy in the southeast, Broussey-en-Blois in the south, Bovée-sur-Barboure in the southwest and Méligny-le-Grand in the Northwest.

Economy and Infrastructure

There are nine farms in the municipality of Naives-en-Blois (cereal growing, dairy farming).

The D 29 road from Naix-aux-Forges to Void-Vacon runs through Naives-en-Blois . On the northern edge of the municipality, the motorway-like RN 4 runs from Saint-Dizier to Toul .
