Pierrefitte-sur-Aire is a French commune in the department of Meuse in the region of Grand Est (2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the Arrondissement Commercy and the canton Dieue-sur-Meuse (until 2015: canton Pierrefitte-sur-Aire ). The community has 316 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017). The inhabitants are called Pierrefittois .
geography
Pierrefitte-sur-Aire is located about 25 kilometers south-southwest of Verdun on the Aire . Pierrefitte-sur-Aire is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Longchamps-sur-Aire in the north and north-west, Courouvre in the north, Lahaymeix in the north-east, Fresnes-au-Mont in the east and north-east, Nicey-sur-Aire in the south and south-east and Raival in the Southwest.
