geography

Varnéville is located about 38 kilometers south-southeast of Verdun . The municipality is part of the Lorraine Regional Nature Park . Varnéville is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Buxières-sous-les-Côtes in the north, Loupmont in the east and south-east, Apremont-la-Forêt in the south and south-west and Saint-Mihiel in the west. The Madine River has its source in the local area .
