Vignot is a French commune with 1,309 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meuse department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). The municipality is located in the canton of Commercy in the Arrondissement of Commercy . The inhabitants are called vignotins .

geography

Vignot is about 43 kilometers west-northwest of downtown Nancy . The Meuse (French: Meuse ) limits the municipality in the west and southwest. Vignot is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Boncourt-sur-Meuse in the north and north-west, Girauvoisin in the north, Frémeréville-sous-les-Côtes in the north-east, Geville in the east, Euville in the south and south-east, Commercy in the south and south-west and Lérouville in the west.
