Ranzières is a French commune with 82 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meuse department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement Commercy and the canton of Saint-Mihiel . The inhabitants are called Ranzièrois .

geography

Ranzières is located about 17 kilometers south-southeast of Verdun . The municipality is part of the Lorraine Regional Nature Park . Ranzières is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Rupt-en-Woëvre in the north, Mouilly in the north and northeast, Vaux-lès-Palameix in the east, Troyon in the south and southwest and Ambly-sur-Meuse in the west.
