Herakles kills the stymphalic birds (also: Herakles with the bow ) is a listed sculpture in Cologne-Lindenthal manufactured in 1908/1909 based on designs by Émile-Antoine Bourdelle .
description
The dynamically conceived bronze sculpture set up in one of the inner courtyards of the Wiso Faculty of the University of Cologne depicts Heracles in an expressive manner as an archer on a boulder. A copy can be seen in Waldemarsudde . Stymphalic birds were bird-like monsters.
