The preacher and later founder of the Bible Students' Movement , Charles Taze Russell , contributed financially and editorially to the magazine from 1876 to 1879. Because of theological differences, Russell published his own magazine called Zion's Watch Tower and Herald of Christ's Presence in 1879 .
