Herbert Gerdes
Herbert Gerdes (born April 1, 1884 in Blexen ; † unknown) was a film director and Nazi film propagandist.
Life
Gerdes joined the NSDAP in April 1933 (membership number 2867332). In 1935 he was active in the racial office of the NSDAP . In 1941 he became head of the film department of this office in Cracow in the Generalgouvernement . He wrote propaganda films. Ernst Klee describes him as the “author of racial hate films”.
Nothing is known about his further life.
