Herbert Schildt

Herbert Schildt (born February 28, 1951 ) is an American computer scientist , specialist author and musician.

Life

Herbert Schildt was born on February 28, 1951. He studied at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and graduated with a master's degree. Schildt was a member of the ANSI committee, which standardized the C programming language in 1989 , and was also one of the ANSI / ISO committees that updated the standard in 1999 and standardized C ++ in 1998 .

Little C

One of Schildt's longest-running projects is the little C interpreter, a recursive descent parser for a subset of C.

Musician

In the years 1969-1978 and 1997-2006 Schildt was a member of the rock band Starcastle and played the keyboard.
