Herbertshire Castle is an abandoned castle in the feudal barony of Herbertshire , in the north of the village of Denny in the Scottish administrative unit of Falkirk .
It was probably built around 1474 by William Sinclair, 1st Earl of Caithness .
In 1768 the property was sold to the trustees of William Forbes from Callendar . In 1914 the castle was damaged by fire and in 1950 the fire ruins were demolished.
