Jim Douglas opens a driving school with his partner Bo Phillips and his VW Beetle Herbie . Herbie's supernatural life of its own keeps Jim and his car in bizarre situations. Jim also causes problems with his rival Randy, the ex of Jim's girlfriend Susan.
