Autumn is there is a folk song that is about autumn . The melody is a traditional English folk song from the 16th century in minor with the original title Under the Harvest Moon ("Autumn comes, the summer is past").

Various German texts were created for this, all with the title “Herbst ist da”. The best known comes from Hannes Kraft (1909–1983). It was published in 1962 in the first volume of the Ars Musica choir collection . Instead of “the winds blow more quietly”, according to other representations it also means “the winds blow cooler”.
