Life

Mariacher attended elementary and secondary school in St. Johann in Tirol and completed an apprenticeship as a retail salesman in St. Johann. He also attended the commercial academy in Bad Aussee and has worked as an insurance employee since 1987. He entered the municipal council election in 2004 with the list "Free and independent citizens 'list St. Johann / Tirol (citizens' list)" in St. Johann, but failed because of his entry into the municipal council and with 4.2 percent in the direct mayor election. In 2010 Mariacher was able to move into the local council with the list of “Freedom Party and Party Free”. Since then, Mariacher has been a local councilor in St. Johann. In the direct mayor election, it came to around 6 percent. Mariacher is also the FPÖ regional party chairman, member of the district party leadership and regional chairman of the Freedom Workers. In November 2013 he replaced Gerald Hauser in the state parliament.

In July 2018, he resigned from the FPÖ, giving the reason, among other things, of the planned twelve-hour day. As a result, he submitted an application for admission to the AAB - FCG group.
