Heribert Purreiter (born November 13, 1954 , † October 15, 2004 ) was a politician of the GREEN . He was the deputy mayor of Waldbronn and has been a member of the Waldbronn municipal council since 1989. In 2004 he became a member of the district council in the district of Karlsruhe . He was shot dead on the night of October 14th and 15th, 2004.

According to the investigation by the public prosecutor, Heribert Purreiter had supported a woman who wanted to separate from her abusive husband. He then instructed his son and two other accomplices to give Heribert Purreiter "a lesson" and to shoot him in the knees. When Purreiter fled, the boy shot four times in the upper body from close range and hit twice in the chest area. Despite an emergency operation, he succumbed to serious internal injuries in hospital that same day.

On February 7, 2006, the BGH upheld the final verdict: seven and a half years in prison for the then 16-year-old shooter; the client and the 16-year-old's father (who obtained the weapon and instructed the young person) each received ten years' imprisonment for jointly committed bodily harm resulting in death .
