Hermann Bluth

Hermann Bluth was a German architect and municipal building officer . He worked from 1873 to 1893 as a city ​​architect and from 1894 to 1910 as the city ​​planner for the city of Bochum .

Buildings (selection)

  • 1875–1878: Restaurant in Bochum City Park (wooden structure; replaced by massive new building in 1914)
  • 1890–1892: School building of the municipal high school in Bochum, Ostring (facade preserved and integrated into the new building of the justice center)
  • 1893–1894: Mayor's service villa in Bochum, Scharnhorststraße (not preserved)
  • 1893–1894: Municipal bathing establishment in Bochum, Marienstraße 13 (today's Maximilian-Kolbe-Straße; destroyed in World War II)
  • 1893–1895: Extension of the town hall in Bochum, Mühlenstraße (today's Hans-Böckler-Straße; demolished around 1930)
