Hermann Brandl

Hermann Brandl (* 1874 in Lobs ; † 1938 ) was a Sudeten German teacher and homeland researcher .

Brandl attended the teacher training college in Eger , advanced training schools for drawing and agricultural elementary schools , where he successfully passed the examination for the teaching profession. Since 1893 he worked as a teacher, most recently as a senior teacher in Unterrothau .

In his free time he occupied himself with the home history of the Graslitz district and the neighboring areas, on which he published numerous articles and gave lectures.

His son Erhard Brandl (1923–1974) was a prospector and researcher of Aboriginal culture.
