Hermann Zastrow (Mayor)

Hermann Friedrich Theodor Zastrow (born February 3, 1819 in Rostock ; † May 11, 1880 ibid) was a German lawyer and local politician.

Life

Hermann Zastrow was born as the son of the Rostock lawyer Johann Peter Gottfried Zastrow. After attending high school in Rostock, he began to study law at the University of Rostock in Easter 1837. and became a member of the Corps Hanseatia Rostock . In 1839 he moved to the University of Bonn and joined the Corps Guestphalia Bonn . After completing his studies, he settled as a lawyer in his native Rostock . He became a Senator in Rostock and was mayor of the city of Rostock from 1863 until his death in 1880 .
