Hermann von Lynden , Freiherr von Reckheim , (* 1547 in Liège ; † June 5, 1603 in Rekem ) was a nobleman and soldier from the von Lynden family .

Life

He was in the service of the Prince-Bishop of Liège and the Holy Roman Empire on the side of Emperor Charles V. He commanded troops during the Eighty Years War and the Syrian War . Von Lynden held important positions in the Principality of Liège , occupied Bonn in 1584 and was governor of Cologne in 1592.

He bought the Reckheim estate near Liège. His successor was Ferdinand Gobert von Linden .

Hermann von Lynden was the brother of Robert von Lynden .
