Hermas of Philippi

Hermas of Philippi was one of the Seventy disciples . He is mentioned in ( Rom 16,14  EU ) together with Asyncritus , Phlegon , Hermes and Patrobas. Hermas is said to have been bishop in Philippi . He is venerated as a saint ; his feast day is May 9th . An identity with Hermas , the author of the Shepherd of Hermas , is considered unlikely.
