Aviakit Flight Concept emerged in June 2004 from the company Aviakit (1997 to 2004) and the company pjb-aérocomposite and was founded by Achim Geohrke as managing director with the support of Roland Prevot. Aviakit was the manufacturer of the Helios and Hermes aircraft , the predecessor of the Vega .

Aviakit Flight Concept is the manufacturer of the Spectra , FunTwin and Vega aircraft , an ultralight aircraft made of carbon fiber-reinforced plastic that is also used as an unmanned drone for reconnaissance purposes. With a payload of 220 kg (as a drone 170 kg), it is also interesting for other military purposes. The more powerful Rotax 914 motor is used in the drone.
For the fast Vega (see separate article), the basic shape of the Hermes was adopted, but not the materials and surfaces previously used. In the most modern three-layer sandwich construction, carbon is now largely used, while steel and aluminum meet the aeronautical standards for certified aircraft. The stiffness of the cell and surface was significantly increased with simultaneous weight loss. The use of new, smaller wings with a wingspan of 9.35 m increases the maximum speed and agility considerably.
Hermes is an ultralight aircraft . The Hermes was created in 1996 from the Helios , one of the first two-seater high-decker in a mixed construction (wood, steel, aluminum) and with a high composite content . The designer of the Helios and the Hermes is Roland Prevot, who has already designed several light aircraft. The Hermes is a two-seater low-wing aircraft with large wings (14.95 m²) in a pure composite construction with low weight and French approval as an ultralight aircraft. Due to the large areas, it reaches a maximum speed of 160 km / h. It is considered the forerunner of the fast Vega , which Aviakit Flight-Concept also produces as a drone . Repairs and maintenance of Hermes and Helios were taken over by Aviakit Flight Concept.
Drones
The further development and delivery of a drone for use in Russia has so far failed due to the necessary requirements for temperatures of −20 ° C and the financial budget for the technical equipment, such as the EuroFlir 350 from the French company SAGEM .
