Hermias (martyr)
Hermias († 170? In Komana ) was a Christian martyr and saint .
Hermias suffered martyrdom under either Antoninus Pius or Marcus Aurelius . He is said to have been a soldier and already very old when he was brought before the proconsul of Komana, Sebastianus. Hermias was then subjected to various tortures without falling away from his belief. Eventually he was beheaded.
The saint's feast day is May 31st .
