from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Achstetten rulership , based in Achstetten , was first mentioned in 1194. Since the middle of the 14th century, a branch of the Lords of Freyberg had owned the rule , who in 1447 sold a third of the rule to the Gutenzell Imperial Abbey . In 1639, when the Freybergers died out, the remaining two thirds came to the Counts of Oettingen-Spielberg zu Schwendi . In 1806 the rule of Achstetten came to the Kingdom of Württemberg and in 1810 was assigned to the Oberamt Wiblingen .
