Rothenfels District Court

The ruling court Rothenfels was a ruling court 1st class of the Löwenstein-Wertheim-Rosenberg family . It existed from 1814 to 1848. It was located in the Lower Main District of the Kingdom of Bavaria .

On October 1, 1814, the ruling court was approved. It corresponded to the extent of the previous district mairie Rothenfels and this corresponded to the right Main part of the former office of Rothenfels . These were 8 places with 797 families and 3544 inhabitants. The Herrschaftsgericht Rothenfels underwent a significant expansion in 1819. As part of an area swap, the former Löwenstein-Wertheim office in Steinfeld with around 5000 residents moved from Baden to Bavaria and was assigned to the Herrschaftsgericht Rothenfels. On October 1, 1848, the ruling court was dissolved and replaced by the royal court and police authority Rothenfels.
