The Hertiquartier is a district in the west of the city ​​of Zug . The striking skyscrapers are particularly striking about the quarter.

The quarter is west of Zug train station . It begins after the former Landis & Gyr area at the Herti stadium and extends to Letzistrasse.

history

The quarter was created in the 1950s when the first Herti development with striking high-rise buildings was built. In 1976 a school complex was built and in 1983 the "Herti Center" shopping center. The Herti Stadium was inaugurated in 1967 and the Herti Retirement Center began operations on October 1, 1984.

On March 12, 2003, the groundbreaking ceremony took place for a considerable expansion of the quarter called “Herti 6”. The first phase of this development was completed in October 2005 and contains around 200 apartments.

On February 24, 2008, Zug's electorate approved the construction of the new Herti stadium, which was inaugurated as the Bossard Arena in August 2010 and started operations.
