Hessam Abrishami

Hessam Abrishami ( listen ? / I ; * 1951 in Shiraz ) is an Iranian painter and sculptor who now lives in California. As an artist he often appears under his first name Hessam . His works combine "vibrant colors, dynamic design and powerful expression" with "imagination and skillful artistry". Life

At the age of 16, Hessam was encouraged by his teacher to study painting and drawing. As early as 1970 he won first prize in the “Iran National Painting Competition”. In 1973 Hessam received his diploma in architecture from the Namazi Institute in Shiraz. In 1975 he moved to Italy and studied at the Academy of Fine Arts "Pietro Vannuci" in Perugia . There he graduated in 1979 with a “Master of Fine Arts”. Hessam went back to Iran for five years and published a book there with drawings. In 1983 he returned to Italy because of the political and religious conditions and finally emigrated to the USA. He works and lives in Los Angeles , California to this day .

Work and effect

Hessam's pictures are in demand worldwide. He had well over a hundred solo exhibitions in the United States and also participated in numerous group exhibitions there. His art is also highly valued in Europe and Asia. He is present with his paintings in several museums.
