The Heywood Lake is a lake on Signy Iceland in the archipelago of the South Orkney Islands . It is the northernmost of the lakes in the Three Lakes Valley .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1974 after the British limnologist Ronald Barry Heywood (* 1937), who worked for the British Antarctic Survey from 1962 to 1963 and from 1970 to 1971 on Signy Island.
