Hideo Yokoyama

Hideo Yokoyama (born January 17, 1957 in Tokyo ) is one of the most successful crime writers in Japan .

Life

After 12 years as an investigative journalist, he began writing short stories and detective novels. His books were u. a. Translated into English , German and Dutch and awarded numerous prizes. His most successful novel 64 , on which he had been writing for 10 years, sold 1.5 million copies by 2018, was number 1 on the Japanese bestseller list, was named the best Japanese detective novel of 2013, and among other things. a. translated into English and German. Yokoyama is married and lives with his wife in Gunma Prefecture, Japan .
