The annual allowable cut (annual allowable cut, use sentence wear set) is in forestry by forest management defined and are the area-related sustainable annual einschlagbare of timber volume. It is given in harvest (Efm) or storage meters (Vfm). In Germany, the sustainable cut rate is used for the tax assessment of private forests.

The annual cut rate is the rate that is to be taken per year according to the individual stand planning of the forest management . This total cutting rate can be divided into main and maintenance use as well as into the individual wood species groups (such as beech , pine , spruce ). The sum of the annual felling rate is also referred to as the “harvesting amount” or “total felling”. Due to the principle of sustainability, the annual amount of wood felled should generally not be higher than the annual new growth in the forest.
