Hildegard Lullies

Hildegard Lullies (born March 10, 1902 in Königsberg , † January 30, 1980 in Berlin ) was a German librarian.

Life

Lullies studied law and political science in Königsberg, where she also received her doctorate in 1926. From 1927 to 1931 she was a research assistant in the library of the Prussian State Statistical Office in Berlin. In 1932 she passed the diploma examination for the senior service , in 1934 the supplementary examination for the public library service followed. In 1939 Lullies became a research assistant in the Berlin State Library . In 1949 she went to the Central Scientific Library as deputy director, and in 1954 to the America Memorial Library . In 1955 she finally became head of the Berlin General Catalog, which she remained until she retired in 1967. She also worked as a lecturer at the Berlin library school.
