Funds

A fund (French, pronunciation [ fɔ̃ː ]; in English fund name Fund , pronunciation [ fʌnd ]) is a set of funds that is intended for a specific purpose. Funds can be financed by contributions or donations or by the state.

In some cases, the term “fund” is also used to refer to the institution that manages the funds, for example the International Monetary Fund .
