Auxiliary sign

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The heraldist understands an auxiliary emblem as a base to repeat certain coats of arms ( common figures ) from the coat of arms in the upper coat of arms . The umbrella board is ideally suited for this due to its particularly large area.

The flight (open or closed) and the quiver as well as the horns and hats , if heraldic images from the coat of arms are repeated on them, are still considered auxiliary jewels .
